Machineries used for our CNC machined components

Our CNC autolathe machines (with and without sub-spindle) manufactures products from diameter 1mm up to 20mm. Equipped with both face and cross milling functions, the machines produce components of intricate design for automotive and HDD applications.
We have CNC turning machines that can perform machining of products from below 20mm in diameter up to more than 400mm. Our larger CNC turning machines have a distance between centres of up to 2 metres and are used mainly for the production of Oil & Gas products.
High productivity and accuracy are key characteristics of our CNC drill & tap centres. These machines operate at high speeds for their tool change and cutting path. This allows Disk Precision to maintain our competitiveness in the challenging automotive and HDD markets.
With our 3-axis, 4-axis and 9-axis turn-mill centres, we are able to complement our turning process with drilling and milling features thus reducing the number of processes and setups required to manufacture complex components. Our 9-axis turn-mill centres are equipped with a sub-spindle which gives us the flexibility to machine highly complex products within one single setup.
For products with complex and multiple milling features, our 4-axis horizontal and 5-axis vertical milling machines give us the edge to compete in various industries like Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace, etc. Double pallet characteristics provide enhanced productivity by eliminating the loading and unloading times.

Sub-micron flatness/parallelism and stringent surface finishing requirement can be achieved with our in-house Double Disk Grinding machines. With a specially designed unloading jig, we are able to prevent even the slightest scratch lines normally associated with double disk grinding processes.

To build up our capability in metal fabrication, we have invested in TIG and MIG welding machines. The machines are incorporated with a welding management system to offer us a digitalized welding solution.
Our key CNC machining processes are supported by in-house secondary process machines like centreless/cylindrical grinding, horizontal broaching, wire-cut, thread-rolling, surface grinding/lapping, tumbling, etc.

Besides outsourcing special processes like heat treatment and surface coatings (anodizing, phosphate, electroless nickel, passivation, black oxide, yellow chromate, hard-chrome, zinc, etc), we have also developed the in-house capability for Tin Coating and Molykote. Subsequent investment into sandblasting and spray painting has also been planned.

Disk Precision is embarking on the Industry 4.0 transformation journey. To enhance our competitiveness in anticipation of future challenges, we strive to drive all aspects of our manufacturing processes and robotics/automation with IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0.
